The problem is that the information is scattered across venue websites, Instagram posts, Facebook groups, ticketing pages, and word of mouth.

Go Today exists to fix that. One place, updated regularly, with recurring events and special nights that make it easier to pick a plan and go.

Why did it start?

GO Latin Dance, a beloved community calendar that many NYC dancers relied on, shut down in early 2026. Go Today started as an attempt to carry that forward for salsa and bachata dancers in New York City.

The idea quickly became broader: every community has the same discovery problem. Great recurring events exist, but they are hard to compare, hard to search, and easy to miss. Go Today keeps the original dance-calendar spirit while expanding into more cities and categories.

What's here now

Curated city pages for recurring and regularly updated events, including Latin dance, karaoke, trivia, jazz, comedy, tech meetups, run clubs, board games, paint-and-sip nights, and major watch parties. Every page has to clear a minimum quality bar before it appears on the site.

What's coming

• More cities and categories when there are enough verified events to make the page useful.
• Better freshness checks so stale events fall off before they waste your night.
• Cleaner maps, filters, and event detail pages.
• More personalized recommendations based on your saved events and interests.
