Go Today helps people discover local events while collecting only the information needed to operate and improve the service.

Information we collect

When you browse Go Today, we may collect basic usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device type, browser type, and interactions with the site through analytics tools.

If you create an account or sign in, we collect information associated with your account, such as your email address, name, optional phone number, home city, event interests, saved events, and event feedback or reviews you submit.

If you submit an event or contact us, we collect the information you provide in that submission or message.

Google Sign-In data

If you choose Continue with Google, Google provides Go Today with basic account information needed to create and authenticate your account, including your Google account email address, name, profile image, and a unique account identifier. Go Today does not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, calendar, or other Google services.

We use Google Sign-In data only to authenticate you, maintain your Go Today account, personalize the service, provide account support, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. We do not share Google user data except with service providers that process it on our behalf, when you direct us to, or when required by law.

How we use information

• Provide account access, saved events, preferences, and personalized recommendations.
• Review event submissions, publish reviews, and respond to questions or support requests.
• Measure site performance, understand usage, improve event discovery, and fix problems.
• Protect Go Today and its users from fraud, abuse, and security threats.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms.

Service providers and sharing

Go Today uses service providers to operate the site. These may include Supabase for authentication and data storage, Google for sign-in and analytics, website hosting and email providers, and Slack for internal notifications about new account registrations. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a business transfer, or with your consent.

Data retention and security

We retain personal information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal obligations, and maintain security. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may disconnect Go Today from your Google Account through your Google Account settings. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Go Today account and personal information by emailing hello@letsgotoday.app. We may retain limited information when required by law or for legitimate security and recordkeeping purposes.

Children's privacy

Go Today is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International users

Go Today is operated from the United States. If you use the service from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date.
